Yesterday, it was a tough day for one of our recruiters.
Two of the job seekers from different positions, have rejected the clients’ offers at the same day. Both of them rejected the offer due to there is another offer at the same day as well, which benefits, and location are more convenience to them. Came across to their reasons of rejection, it is quite convincing, and the consultant is totally speechless to persuading further. Therefore, he wished them all the best and do well in their new job.
Recruitment process is not only about sourcing the best person for the best job, to be exact, it should be sourcing the right person for the right job. In his cases, although both job seekers are good and well fitted to the clients’ jobs, due to some non-beneficial factors, therefore it may influence their decisions to take up the offers.
It is considered quite a heartbreaking news to go through two rejections on the same day and need to re-sourcing for new prospects to the clients again, however it motivated and strengthened our recruiter in another way, especially on understanding our clients’ needs and job seekers’ wants. In fulfilling both parties’ requirements, it then uplifts the chances of employability and jobsatisfactions of the job seekers. Thus, as recruitment consultants, we are always be prepared to go through different kinds of typical circumstances as well as hardships, in order to enhance for ourselves.
