The Secret Of Your Success Is Determined By Your Daily Agenda.

I encountered that plenty of recent graduates would rather to take time off instead of getting a job that related to their profession immediate after graduated. It seems like a trend for fresh college graduates to a gap year before entering the workforce. I believe in a well spent gap year would helps some people to gain different perspectives in life or benefits in their future career. Hence, having a gap year is only a good idea if you have solid plans for how you will use the time.

But I’ve met plenty of them who just stayed home and played video games or hanging around with friends and shopping all day long by spending pocket money from parents. They’d rather spend time to have fun, overindulge themselves in good food etc. And it was over my head when they told me that this is what they do during the gap year.

I’d like to point out, job searches these days take a long time. More than a year for some people. What if you start your search in a year and it takes another year? And now you’re two years out of school without putting yourself on a professional track. The longer that goes on, the harder it will get to put yourself on whatever long-term track you ultimately wants.

As my lecturer used to tell us when I was in college “You can pay now, and play later, or you can play now and pay later. But either way, you’re going to pay.” The idea was that you can play and take it easy and do what you want today, but if you do, your life will be harder later. However, if you work hard now, on the front end, then you will reap rewards in the future.

Remember, success, doesn’t just suddenly occur one day in someone’s life. Every day in your life is merely preparation for the next. What you become is the result of what you do today. If you make a few key decisions and then manage well in your daily agenda, you will succeed.
