Seeking a highly motivated R&D Specialist with strong expertise in seasoning formulation, particularly in Southeast Asian and international flavor profiles. The ideal candidate should possess technical knowledge in spray drying, reaction processes, enzymatic flavor creation, and other related technologies. This role plays a critical part in a strategic project team to support innovation and product excellence.
Job Description
- Formulate and optimize seasonings tailored to SEA and global markets using culturally relevant ingredients and flavor profiles.
- Apply hands-on knowledge in spray drying, reaction flavor technology, and enzymatic processes to enhance seasoning quality and performance.
- Work alongside flavorists to co-create flavor systems that meet targeted sensory expectations.
- Conduct research and experimentation to improve flavor impact, stability, and sensory attributes.
- Coordinate with R&D, marketing, production, and QA to align product development with business goals and regulatory standards.
- Provide on-site technical guidance during scale-up, production trials, and product commercialization.
- Stay updated on flavor trends, raw materials, and technology developments to drive continuous innovation.
- Actively contribute to project teams, offering insight and creative solutions aligned with company objectives.
- Promote a collaborative, improvement-driven culture within the R&D team.
Job Requirement
- Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related discipline
- At least 2-5 related experience with proven knowledge in seasoning/flavor creation, especially SEA & international cuisines
- Familiar with spray drying, reaction flavor, and enzymatic technologies (hands-on experience preferred)
- Strong sensory evaluation and formulation skills
- Willing to travel for training and project implementation (initial training in Guangzhou)
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a cross-cultural team
- Proficient in Mandarin for communication with Mandarin-speaking internal and external teams.
