Job Responsibilities
- Be the prime person who shall contact and maintain liaison with the client and his representative on all project matters.
- Organize a project team and assign responsibilities to his supporting personnel
- Establish the work plans, schedules including sub-contracting plans and mobilization plans and review them periodically to ensure project performance with assistance of his personnel.
- Establish and control the overall project budget.
- Utilize and mobilize the required services of engineering, procurement, construction, etc. Conduct technical and contractual reviews to ensure that the work is being executed in accordance with Contract Documents.
- Monitor and coordinate the engineering and procurement activities
- Direct purchasing to ensure proper selection of materials and on-time receipt of materials at the job site
- Review periodically the performance of the works and sub-contractors
- Initiate necessary remedial actions to maintain the project on schedule
- Negotiate and settle all contract changes and variation
- Authorize and approve all works being performed by his staff in connection with the project
- Finalizing Project’s Final Account
Job Requirement
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineeringrequired Working Experience
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in project management as a Senior Project Manager (with marine background)
- Able to work independently, highly motivated and to meet tight budget and scheduled targets
- Must possess absolute personal integrity, alongside management ability that mobilize resources and encourage teamwork.
- Ability to liaise with local authorities and sub-contractor
- Possess good command of written & oral English and Bahasa Melayu
- Knowledge in ISO 9001 : 2000 is added advantage
