There’s a job seeker who applied for more than 50 job applications within 2 months and he did not get any response nor feedback from any companies or HR of those job applications that he applied. He was wondering why?
We often hear from job seekers that they expected : The more jobs applied, the higher chances to get hired. But is that true ?
My answer is, NOT NECESSARY !
Here are some tips for all job seekers :
Read the job requirements
Job requirements are employer’s expectation for a particular position. Recent years, we received a lot of job applications that are irrelevant and some of them are totally do not match with the requirements. Example, a fresh graduate applied for a managerial level position with at least 5 years working experiences. Sometimes, we do find curious that, did they read the job advertisement before sending out the applications ? Your chances are higher if you able to match about 70%-80% to the job requirements.
Check out the working location
Working location is one of the main criteria for job searching in Klang Valley area. Before click “apply” for the particular job, kindly check on the location whether it is convenient for you to reach or is it accessible by transport. Some job seekers may withdraw their job application when called for interview by giving the reason of location too far or they do not have own transport to reach. Even, we Recruiters have to check the location in Google Map on behalf of candidates before invite them for an interview.
Provide past working experience in details
Always remember that your resume will present to employers before you present yourself personally. No matter how good you are, Recruiters can only judge you from your resume first. Literally, an impressive resume stands higher chance to be called for interview. Always prepare your resume with the job scopes in detail instead of just generally mentioned. A resume that is tailored to the job will always stand out from the crowd.

Example 2 (detail job scopes with elaboration) : handling for end-to-end payroll processing for 100 staffs including OT and claim calculation, EPF and Socso submission and payslips distribution
There is no point to apply for the job that you do not want actually. Read more and well prepared to increase the chance to get the right job.
