Jane worked as a junior executive in a small company ever since she graduated from Uni. She lives in her comfort zone for years and till few months ago, she realized that she could no longer continue staying in this comfot zone. She decided to hunt for a position in a reputable organization, to venture out and to explore more career options.
Jane then got a job offer from a reputable organization as a senior executive. She happily accepted the offer and immediate started work at the company.
At the first few weeks, she felt stressed as she encountered culture shock at the company. She has never work in such fast paced environment before and she found hardly to adapt with it. Besides, she found hardly to cope with the heavy workloads in the company.
“I doubt on my abilities. I’m not sure if I really capable in this role, I’m not sure if I can continue stay in the company.” There was once she called and grumbled at the recruiter. Recruiter consulted her, and also suggested her to give herself a timeline, to see whether she’s really suitable to stay.
There were no news from her ever since the day.
Couple of months later, recruiter hear from Jane again. She has came back to the recruiter and mentioned that she has finally conquered all difficulties and walk through the spiral downward. “I never felt such satisfied and I’m really happy that I finally made it to “survive” in this company. My hardwork and effort paid off ! Now I can handle my job confidently and I also helped out with my junior colleagues.”said Jane.
Once you’ve secured a new job, start off on the right foot, make positive impression on your new boss and colleagues. All the effort that you make will ultimately pay off. So, never give up easily, stay focused and keep moving forward.
